The Sunday Roast is such as much a part of British life as Fish and Chips, the Royal Family and taking the Micky out of politicians! Life just would not seem the same if something happened to this great institution! However, we'd probably all agree that though a great home made roast with all the trimmings is a wonderful way for family and friends to get together, once in a while, it just makes sense to throw caution to the wind and let someone else take up the slack. In recognition of this, we tailor our Sunday offering to reflect the popularity of the Great British Roast. All are served with the appropriate trimmings.

We almost always have a choice of

• Pink Roast Beef (can be ordered will done if required)
• Succulent Roast Pork Loin
• Chicken Ballotine
• Tender Cotswold Lamb

As a result, Roasts at the Bear and Ragged Staff have become something of an Oxford institution. And for good reason. Though we would never consider usurping the position of Mum (or Dad for that matter!) as the primary provider of Sunday Roasts, we reckon we can make a convincing case for being the next best option.

All our Roasts are served with Goose Fat Roast Spuds, Honey Roast Parsnips, bowls of steaming seasonal veggies and extra gravy on the side.
