Game Specials
Our regular Patrons will know that we are more than happy to take advantage of our rural surroundings and cook up most things that inhabit the nearby fields. Venison Steak and Game Bangers and Mash, featuring a selection of sausages from our main butcher, Hedges, will be on the new autumn menu from 3rd October.
We will also continue our tradition of serving game at the end of every month on our specials menu. Recent dishes concocted from the produce available in the local woods and lakes include Fur and Feather Casserole, Poached Farmoor Trout, Venison and Red Wine "Shepherd’s" Pie, Baked Nile Perch and Smoked Gressingham Duck.
